Sharing a video on LewdChat used to mean uploading your clip to some third-party host, praying their terms of service didn't eat it, and pasting a link into the room. Now you skip all of that. Pick the file in the chat window and it plays right there in the room, inline, for the people you're already talking to. This page covers how video sharing chat works here, what the limits are, and the rules that keep it safe to be part of.
The mechanics
Three formats work: mp4, webm, and mov, which between them cover what any phone or screen recorder produces. Clips can run up to three minutes. Upload from the chat window and the video appears in the room, playable in place, no download required on either end. The three-minute cap is a feature, not a limitation: it keeps the room a conversation with clips in it rather than a pile of unwatched files. Your best thirty seconds beat your unedited ten minutes anyway.
There's nothing to sign up for. The same nickname-only anonymity that covers the text chat covers your uploads. Nobody needs your email to watch, and nobody needs it to share.
Where to share
The nudes exchange is the natural home: it's the room built around consensual photo sharing, and video slots straight into the same culture. Exhibitionists get a stage, voyeurs get a show, and the mods keep it friendly. Elsewhere, read the room first. A clip that's welcome in the nudes room may not fit the middle of someone's roleplay scene. When in doubt, ask, and check the channel rules.
The rules, in full
These come from the nudes room and apply to every video you post anywhere on the site:
- Yours only. You post videos of yourself, that you recorded, and nothing else. A partner's clips, an ex's, something you found: all of it is banned content, even with claimed permission, because an anonymous site has no way to verify consent. Share what's yours to share.
- Adult at both ends. You must be over 18 now and at the time the video was recorded.
- No saving without permission. What people share here is for here.
- No pressure. Nobody owes the room a video. Asking once is fine; begging, bargaining, and guilt-tripping get you removed.
Moderators are real people, they're around the clock, and non-consensual sharing is the fastest ban on the site. That's not a threat aimed at you, it's the reason the room is worth sharing in.
Protect yourself before you post
Everything in the sexting safety guide about photos goes double for video, because video carries more of you: your voice, your mannerisms, your whole room in the background. Before you share, watch your clip once as a stranger would. Face out of frame unless you've decided otherwise. Distinctive tattoos, mail on the counter, a window with a recognizable view, a voice saying your own name: crop, mute, or re-record. Once a clip leaves your device you're trusting the rules to protect it, and rules are good here, but your best protection is what you never include.
Try it tonight
Pick a nickname, walk into the room, and get a feel for it before you post anything. Watching is participation too. When you're ready, your first clip is one upload away.
