The Sexting Emoji Cheat Sheet

Emojis are shorthand. In sexting they do the work of a wink, a raised eyebrow, or a lip bite — physical cues that text can't otherwise carry. Used well, they sharpen a message. Used badly, they make you look like you copy-pasted from a list. Here's every emoji actually worth using, what it means in a sexting context, and how to land it.

This guide is written for direct sexting. In action-tag roleplay, emojis are rare — physical cues go inside asterisks (*smirks*) instead. In literary RP, emojis are almost never used at all. See sexting styles for the difference.

The body-parts-that-aren't-body-parts

The classics. Everyone knows these mean what they mean. That's why they work — and why they can feel lazy if that's all you send.

  • 🍑 — ass. Universal. Works as a noun ("your 🍑") or a verb-adjacent ("thinking about your 🍑 right now"). Overuse makes it filler.
  • 🍆 — penis. Same rules. Solo it's a punchline; paired with writing it's a flourish.
  • 🍒 — can mean nipples, virginity, or a pair of cherries depending on context. Subtle because it's plausibly innocent.
  • 🍓 — strawberry. Less explicit than 🍒, often used for breasts or "taste" implications. Softer energy.
  • 🐱 — cat, but not on the internet. Useful when you want something more playful than 🍑.
  • 🌮 — same shape-implication as 🐱 but blunter. Comedic. Use sparingly.

The actions

These describe what you're doing or what you want. Often more expressive than the body-parts set.

  • 💦 — wet, finishing, coming, getting excited. Huge range. Works after a heated message or as a one-emoji reply to something they said.
  • 👅 — tongue. Licking, oral, tasting. Paired with 🍑 or 🍆 it's explicit; on its own it's a suggestion.
  • 💋 — a kiss. Seals a message. Also functions as a goodbye.
  • 🤤 — drooling. Says "I'm thinking about you and I'm wrecked." Strong signal, don't overuse.
  • 😈 — sexual intent with a side of mischief. The bad-idea emoji. "I'm about to say something I shouldn't 😈"
  • 🔥 — hot. Both literal ("you look fire") and sexual ("this is getting 🔥"). Works everywhere.
  • 💥 — impact. "You just made me 💥." Works as a punctuation mark on a finishing message.

The invitations

These don't describe what's happening — they set up what could happen. Good for opening or steering a session.

  • 👀 — "I see you." Noticing them. Flirty without committing.
  • 😏 — the smirk. Knowing, confident, slightly smug. Perfect reply when you want to say "yes, I was thinking the same thing" without the words.
  • 🥵 — overheated. A reaction, usually to a photo or a hot message. Lets them know it worked.
  • 😮‍💨 — the sigh. "That just did something to me." More intimate than 🥵.
  • 🫦 — lip bite. Relatively new, very effective. Signals you're holding something back.
  • 💭 — thought bubble. "I'm thinking about it…" Often paired with something suggestive.

The consent and check-ins

Underrated category. These let you ask questions without killing momentum.

  • 🙈 — shy. "I can't believe I just said that." Humanizes you, resets a moment that got intense too fast.
  • ❓ — a question. Tacked onto a suggestion ("is this on the table❓") makes the ask explicit without sounding clinical.
  • 🤔 — curious/considering. "I'm thinking about whether I should tell you what I want right now 🤔" is a hook and a hedge in one.

How to actually use them

  1. One per message, max two. A message with five emojis looks like a text from 2012. Pick the one that does the most work.
  2. Put them at the end. Emojis are punctuation. They close a sentence. "I can't stop thinking about you 🫦" hits harder than "🫦 I can't stop thinking about you."
  3. Don't substitute emojis for words. "🍆🍑💦" without context is amateur. Emojis should decorate writing, not replace it.
  4. Match their register. If they're sending you literary-style paragraphs with no emojis, throwing 🔥 at the end breaks the mood. If they're all emojis, match them. Mirror the vibe.
  5. Skip the crying-laughing face during sexting. 😂 deflates arousal instantly. Save it for texts where you're not trying to be hot.

Examples of emoji use that lands

  • After something hot they said: "god 🫦"
  • Opening a session: "thinking about you right now 😈"
  • Closing one: "I need a minute 💦"
  • Teasing: "I could tell you what I'm doing right now, but you'll have to ask 😏"
  • Reaction to a photo: "👀🥵"

Practice somewhere low-stakes

The only way to get good at emoji timing is to sext with actual people and see what lands. LewdChat's sexting room is free, anonymous, and full of adults who'll tell you (by how they respond) which emojis are working and which aren't.
